About

Here at GeoSLAM we develop game-changing survey solutions for the measurement and mapping of multi-level three-dimensional environments. Unlike traditional ‘static’ scanners, which must – at all costs – be left untouched while actively scanning, our hand-held and vehicle-mounted scanning solutions work best while in motion as they pass through the target survey environment.

Founded in 2012 as a joint venture between CSIRO (Australia’s National Science Agency) and 3D Laser Mapping (a leading solutions provider); GeoSLAM has grown rapidly to acquire a network of resellers serving more than 28 countries spread across 6 continents. With seven-figure revenues from thousands of users consuming GeoSLAM data our solutions are changing the way people measure and map their three-dimensional environment.

About SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation & Mapping)

Global Positioning Systems (GPS) cannot be used indoors as a GPS device requires line of sight to satellites. This makes it difficult to produce maps in enclosed environments such as buildings, mines, and covered areas. The patented Zebedee Technology pioneered by CSIRO and applied by GeoSLAM in the ZEB1 and ZEB-REVO solves this problem to enable indoor and outdoor mapping without need for GPS.
